From refrigeration machine to reversible heat pump: future-proofing real estate

VanderLinden’s long-standing collaboration with Goodman Nederland includes multidisciplinary electrical and mechanical installations, maintenance and management. The latest project in Tiel is a good example of how we are future-proofing real estate together.

Goodman is committed to making its logistics centres more sustainable. In line with this ambition, we replaced a traditional refrigeration machine with a reversible heat pump. The aim of this upgrade is to reduce natural gas consumption and improve the building’s overall energy performance. The new heat pump represents a reduction of more than 99.9% in climate impact in terms of refrigerants. This replacement saves approximately 14,500 m³ of natural gas per year and avoids around 20 to 26 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually.

Hendri Terlouw, Mechanical Engineering Project Leader VanderLinden “By applying our technical expertise, we help clients like Goodman make their real estate more sustainable, energy-efficient and future-proof.”
