Bosman and BAM Bouw en Techniek cooperate on ABN AMRO office

The ABN AMRO office at Foppingadreef in Amsterdam will be renovated, expanded, and made more sustainable to become a modern work and meeting place for nearly 11,000 employees. The ABN AMRO project is currently one of the most sustainable projects in the Netherlands. In first instance, the objective was BREEAM Excellent, but the bar has been raised to BREEAM Outstanding certification. The premises will also be Paris-Proof and BENG (nearly energy-neutral buildings) zero, which is unique for a renovation project.

A challenging project in terms of architecture and structure for BAM Bouw en Techniek but also in terms of the enormous technical systems that are created by Bosman and BAM Bouw en Techniek together in a partnership construction, known as Bosman BAM Combinatie.

Building smarter is the motto for this project, and that starts with digitally securing the various construction processes and procedures in the BIM model. By standardising part of the work, the ABN AMRO project is carried out smarter with BAM modular construction. Various elements and modules are built and fitted ready-to-use in the factory under good conditions, guaranteeing top quality. It also limits transport movements to and from the building site. That is how Bosman BAM Combinatie works on more sustainable and smarter construction.

Jaco Duijst, Director Major Projects at Bosman

“As reuse and limiting waste are important topics for ABN AMRO, Bosman, and BAM Bouw en Techniek, we consider what is and is not possible in good consultation. Materials that cannot be used may well be reused in a different project. We discuss it, chart it, and ensure the appropriate disposal and storage.”
