First Repair Café started with the aid of VINCI Foundation NL sponsoring

The Repair Café in Heesch is open!

In the jubilee year of the VINCI Foundation NL, 5 starter packages have been made available to VINCI staff and retirees, because VINCI Foundation NL believes that Repair Cafés provide social cohesion within a neighbourhood, thus contributing to the development of our society.

When Ron Verduin, previously employed at Actemium and now retired, heard about this possibility, he was immediately enthusiastic and quickly set to work together with a number of volunteers. By now, a Repair Café has opened in Heesch, on the first Wednesday of each month. Damaged clothing, bicycles and electrical devices are carefully examined and repaired if possible. This gives goods a new lease of life, while the visitors themselves learn about the repairs process.
