Together with care organisation Evean, Verkerk Healthcare took an important step in improving the care technology at Evean’s Acht Staten home. The innovation produces benefits for the residents and the care staff.

The implementation involved many changes. The old system no longer met the requirements and needs we have for today’s care. Old DECT systems were replaced with modern smartphones with the Verkerk Healthcare care app. This improved internal communication, and it is now quicker and easier for staff to respond to calls. Residents and carers are extremely enthusiastic about the new technology and the working method.

Verkerk Healthcare also installed smart multisensors that contribute to better observation of the residents and facilitate rapid interventions when they are required. All the carers were trained by Verkerk Healthcare in the use of the new care technology, ensuring a smooth transition. The successful cooperation between Evean and Verkerk Healthcare will be continued at the Rosariumhorst home.
