Holland Malt produces malt for brewers and distillers across the world and wanted to make its malting process more sustainable. An ambitious target: a fully gas-free production process by using advanced heat-pump systems. A system that converts the residual heat that is usually lost through the chimney into top-quality energy for the production process.

In A&I Kwant Holland Malt found a partner that was up to the challenge. With knowledge and the right expertise A&I Kwant supported the entire process from concept engineering to implementation. There was close cooperation with various players and local experts. Because of this intensive cooperation, Holland Malt managed to make the malting process more sustainable, more energy efficient, and more cost-effective in the long term.
