At VINCI Energies we are convinced that people are our most important asset in the organisation. Therefore, our teams work actively on health, safety and wellbeing, ethics, knowledge transfer, the environment and local communities. These initiatives demonstrate our convictions and our values of responsibility and solidarity.

The efforts of our teams in the business units, which are closely matched to the priorities and needs in the Netherlands, reflect the core identity of VINCI Energies and link up with the VINCI Manifesto and the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CRSD) regarding Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG). We call this All-round Performance.

Eight commitments: VINCI Manifesto

The business units and companies of VINCI Energies work in, for and throughout an ever-changing world. We seek to innovate and work at the forefront of solutions for the energy transition and the digital transformation. We seek to do this sustainably and in the best possible way.

Our business units and companies take their own responsibility in the area of corporate social responsibility and corporate sustainability.

They substantiate this on the basis of our eight joint commitments in the VINCI Manifesto. These are derived from the Global Compact – a United Nations convention – to which VINCI is a party. All of our employees subscribe to our principles of corporate social responsibility and corporate sustainability. They form the foundation of our daily work.

All-round performance

All-round performance, the link between our operational activities and the core values of VINCI Energies, the VINCI Manifesto, and corporate social responsibility are now part and parcel of implementing our operational activities and our journey to sustainable business operations. Their purpose is to meet the expectations of society, our clients, and other stakeholders. We realise that they must also meet the expectations of new generations of future employees, who we would like to give a role in helping us to take responsibility. Together we work on a sustainable future with a healthy balance between shareholder value and social value created together with all stakeholders.

Demonstrable benefits

Not only clients, but our employees, shareholders, public authorities, suppliers, and other stakeholders also believe it is self-evident that we demonstrably perform well in the field of corporate social responsibility and corporate sustainability. And that we embed this in our processes. That is why we also report periodically on where we stand in achieving our objectives in this area, and why we are audited.

And we are very proud of it!

Every year, VINCI Energies Netherlands has itself assessed by EcoVadis. Our organisation, with all our brands and business units, is then tested on our Corporate Social Responsibility policy in terms of 21 topics grouped into the areas of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG). Ethical entrepreneurship, attention to solutions that lead to the preservation of a future-proof living environment, healthy labour relations, human rights and a sustainable supply chain are spearheads in this respect. Ecovadis rewarded us with a Platinum rating for our CSR policy. This places us among the top 1% in our sector.

This fills us with pride because we know that only sustainable entrepreneurship contributes to our right to exist and a License to Operate that takes society’s expectations into account.
